Parents always want to bring out the best version of their child and tends to guide them to the right direction. For this, they also observe every little things of their child. This is obviously necessary for child development. It can lead the children towards right direction. But the question is how the behavior change of one due to being watched?
Research shows that a person's behavior can change when they are being watched because that is when our brain start to give us signals that ''You are being watched.' We are being watched by parents for our good but it does not feel good always. Sometimes some parents fail to understand this. They just go overboard and at some point they think that there is nothing wrong to watch over their child alltime in everything. They just forgot to give their child some space or privacy. Due to their over protectiveness they do such thing which can develop a mental pressure for their child.

One can feel disturbed by such constantly being watched. If they are not doing anything wrong, still they will live with the fear that they might do something worse to let their parents down. And this fear can reduce their self esteem. Gradually they will feel uncomfortable around people, will feel shy. Their friends also will feel uncomfortable to interact with them due to their parents surveillance. Even if they are doing some study and the parents are watching their every movement then how the friends can feel? Surely they are going to feel uncomfortable which can make them to ditched that particular friend.
This is how one person can turned into an introvert due to the over surveillance of their parents and which is actually not good for their future. In the long run they can't cope with the society. They will not be comfortable to be the centre of people's eye. It also can develop scopophobia- the anxiety of being watched by someone.
Parental surveillance is important but parents should know where to stop and where they should give their child space.
